Neighborhood

Hemlock House sits on the edge of Leelanau County, 10 minutes north of Traverse City with Grand Traverse Bay visible from the front door. You get the quiet of the peninsula without giving up easy access to one of northern Michigan's best towns. Traverse City is your anchor for restaurants, the farmers market, shopping, and nightlife. Head north on M22 and you're in Leelanau wine country within minutes. Suttons Bay is a 10-minute drive for dinner, Shady Lane Cellars for a tasting, or Suttons Bay Ciders if you want something different. Continue up the peninsula and you'll hit Leland's historic Fishtown, Northport, and eventually Leelanau State Park and the Grand Traverse Lighthouse. We had a great stay at Hemlock House! We were two couples travelling on a last minute weekend getaway and the home fit our needs perfectly. There was plenty of space and everything was clean, in good condition, and very well appointed. Communication with the host was excellent. I would 100% recommend this home and hope we can come back during the summer to enjoy the lake!
